The idea for the character-based Rubba Ducks was hatched from the founder, Mark Boldt’s then 4yr old daughter Savannah in 1996.
In 1997, Rubba Ducks became the first company in the world to introduce character based rubber ducks. Breaking the mold with its endearing interpretation and contemporary twist on the traditional yellow rubber duck toy.
Rubba Ducks made even a bigger splash when introduced to the European market in 2003 with a specially designed Ducktoberfest duck for the famous Oktoberfest festival in Munich, Germany.
The embrace for Rubba Ducks has transpired, even among the stars with dozens of credited appearances from TV to The Big Screen – Sex and the City, Friends, Harry Potter, as well as Scream.
Rubba Ducks have also been found year-to-year as a favorite in the Awards show’s gift bags at the Oscars, Grammy’s and the CMA’s.
Behind the scenes in the entertainment community’s desire and need for “More Rubba Ducks” it has grown personal with Rubba Ducks playing their special part in special occasions – at their request, the baby showers of Britney Spears and Tori Spelling to the welcome gift for Paris Hilton’s guests at her 2007 Vegas birthday party.
